MediaHeads 360 is looking for a high-performing television and radio sales manager, adept  at pitching and closing, and managing a sales team.  

Position: Sales Manager 

Lead our Sales Team and build deep customer relationships with our agencies, clients, media and production partners. You will be accountable for meeting the annual budget of  MediaHeads 360 through various sales strategies, pillars and innovations, and driving in content advertising solutions across some of TV’s hottest shows.  

Location: Rosebank, Johannesburg 

Type: Full-time 

Compensation: Competitive salary plus commission 

Reports to: Managing Director 

Role Overview: 

• Responsible for achieving both annual and quarterly sales objectives • Develop and implement dynamic sales strategies, tactics, and plans to achieve and  exceed budget 

• Identify and target business opportunities in the industry and in accordance with  MediaHeads 360’s strategy 

• Ensure the success of new business opportunities by preparing a sales / revenue  model to implement 

• Provide an annual sales plan with monthly, quarterly, and annual updates, revisions,  and modifications in order to achieve and exceed the sales budget  

• Effectively hire, train and manage the sales team to ensure that individual and team  targets, both revenue and activity targets, are met.  

• Develop and maintain relationships with agencies and client direct to ensure new and  ongoing/ repeat business 

• Develop and maintain relationships with radio stations, TV channels and relevant  media to facilitate best rates and build trust relationships  

• Work closely with Finance and GM to ensure account controls are in place • Stay at the forefront of all innovation and technology that can streamline our business  and client’s campaigns 

• Keep up to date with recent market and industry trends, competitors, leading customer  strategies, and innovation and technology

Ideal Candidate: 

• Minimum ten years media and sales experience.  

• Relevant degree or diploma in business, marketing, communications, or a related field • Strategic thinker with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets  within the television or media industry. 

• Exceptional pitching and negotiation skills. 

• Established, positive relationships within the advertising industry (both Agency and  client direct and broadcasters), with contactable references. 

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage and  expand client relationships. 

• Strong understanding of market dynamics and advertising tactics  

• Dynamic and proactive, with a passion for the radio and television industry. • A self-starter, who prides themselves on their strong work ethic and go getter attitude. • Excellent project management skills  

• Team player with strong communication skills
