Position: Broadcast Media Planner

MediaHeads 360 is looking for a high-performing Broadcast Media Planner to support our sales team with performance analysis and developing impactful client presentations. This role primarily focuses on TV planning but also includes radio planning, analysis, runs, and performance.

Reports to: General Manager

Role Overview / What you will do:

  • Work closely with the Managing Director and Management Team to craft comprehensive media plans and develop overarching presentation decks for each clients, across television and radio.
  • Support Account Executives and the Sales Manager by tailoring presentations for
    specific clients and providing media schedules and relevant performance data as
  • Provide Campaign Managers with insights and strategic recommendations to
    enhance campaign performance.
  • Analyse historical data to establish benchmarks for clients and categories.
  • Develop detailed channel plans that align with the overall client strategies.
  • Utilise industry-standard software (e.g., Transmit for TV planning) to execute media plans.
  • Create and manage accurate media schedules, ensuring all line items are accounted
  • Develop impactful client presentation decks for Account Executives to present to
  • Communicate and implement changes throughout the campaign lifecycle.
  • Ensure campaigns meet clients’ KPIs and objectives.
  • Monitor and optimise campaign performance in real-time to address any
    discrepancies between forecasts and actuals.
  • Analyse competitor data across all traditional media platforms (e.g., Post Campaign Radiomax).
  • Generate post-campaign analysis reports to provide actionable insights for clients.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to ensure cutting-edge media planning and execution.


  • Proficiency in media planning tools (Telmar, Arianna) and MS Office tools,
    specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • High accuracy and efficiency in work.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Exceptional communication skills.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum two years of media planning experience.
  • Relevant degree or diploma in business, marketing, communications, or a related
    field – university degree in marketing & communications – BA, BCom, or equivalent
    (e.g., IMM, Vega, AAA, Red & Yellow).
  • Strategic thinker with a proven track record in the media industry.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and advertising tactics.
  • Dynamic, proactive, and passionate about the radio and television industry.
  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic and go-getter attitude.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills.
